The FAMALEONIS APS cultural association has been long committed to promoting historical and cultural heritage through reconstruction and dissemination activities that bring history back to life.
Their approach combines scientific rigor and public engagement, and their activities are organized in collaboration with bodies and institutions with the aim of restoring the central role of the city's past.
The exhibition traces the figure of the CONDOTTIERO, a symbol of the fifteenth century, capable of combining the strength of a man-at-arms with the prestige of a courtier, thus embodying the values of both honour and vanity.
The setting of exhibition is Forlì between 1473 and 1498, when the town, led first by Pino III Ordelaffi and then by Caterina Sforza, maintained close ties with the Duchy of Milan.
Thanks to faithful replicas, visitors can delve into the world of the CONDOTTIERO, thus discovering his dual role: on the one hand, he was a warrior on the battlefield and, on the other, he was a prominent figure in court life.
The association aims to embark on a large-scale journey, as this exhibition is the first in a series dedicated to figures and themes from 15th-century Forlì.
The broader aim is to establish this as an annual historical event for the city.
